Jea Hoo Na is a Research Associate at Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University. His research focuses on understanding and applying the value of design for innovation at both macro and micro levels drawing on his diverse experiences working as an industrial designer and design researcher for companies including Samsung, Nokia and LG and for public sector organisations and academic institutions such as Transport for London (TfL), Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT), Brunel University London and University of Birmingham.

He completed his PhD in Design Innovation at Brunel University London, with a comprehensive study of a design innovation framework for manufacturing companies in the UK. He holds two Masters, in Design Strategy and Innovation at Brunel University London, and in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
