Council for Higher Education Art and Design (CHEAD)

With a marketing background gained in Education Development with the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sandra Booth has 23 years’ experience in Higher Education and is currently Director of Policy and External Relations at Council for Higher Education Art and Design-CHEAD providing leadership with the development and communication of CHEAD’s corporate identity and managing relationships and engagement with external stakeholders whilst lobbying on behalf of members.

Previously Pro Vice Chancellor Enterprise, Business Development and Engagement at the University of Cumbria with an Executive portfolio including knowledge exchange, workforce development, fundraising and economic regeneration. Prior to this Sandra was Director of Staffordshire University’s Enterprise and Commercial Development Department with strategic responsibility for enterprise, partnerships and regional engagement. She has a keen interest in the role of creative industries in economic development and place-making. Sandra also runs her own small business providing stakeholder engagement consultancy and advising start-ups and social enterprises.
